Studio Maternity Sessions in Okotoks, Alberta — A Session That Feels Like You
There's a particular kind of magic in the weeks before a baby arrives. The house isn't quite ready. Your body feels entirely unfamiliar. And your older child still doesn't quite grasp what's coming — only that something is.
This session captured all of it.
Mama came into the studio in Okotoks with her son, her tattoos, her joy, and her whole heart on the surface. What unfolded over the next hour was the kind of session that reminds me exactly why I do this work.
Why a Studio Maternity Session?
There's something uniquely powerful about a clean, light-filled studio. No distracting backgrounds. No weather to fight. No rushing through golden hour. Just you, whoever you bring with you, and the space to actually feel everything — without the noise.
The white walls and soft window light we work with in Okotoks create images that are timeless. Whether we're shooting intimate close-ups of your bump or full-family moments with a very enthusiastic big brother, the result is always the same: photographs that look like you, not like a template.
What to Expect
Your session includes multiple wardrobe looks — so if you want intimate lingerie shots and casual jeans-and-a-tee moments with your kids, we do both. We move through the session at whatever pace feels comfortable for you. There's no rush. There's no wrong way to look. There's only the real, unfiltered version of this chapter.
Investment
Studio maternity sessions in Okotoks start at $395 + GST.
That includes your session time, professional direction, and a beautifully curated gallery. Payment plans are available — reach out and we'll figure out what works for you.
Book Your Session
Due dates come faster than anyone expects. If you're between 28–36 weeks, now is the time to reach out.

Branding Photography with Erin Thorp | Calgary Photographer
Erin came to me looking for images that she could use on her website and social media channels to promote her work as a speaker, author and a coach. We set up the studio in colours that worked with her branding, brought in a hair and makeup artist and started in the studio. Since then, we did a second session on location to add some variety to her image library. Now, we are looking at a third session to promote her new podcast!! It’s great working with a repeat client as it allows for us to create an image library that works well together. Plus, the more we work together, the more comfortable we are with each other which allows for more relaxed and natural imagery.
If your brand needs to expand their image library, I’d love to chat with you to see if we are a good fit.
Lovies Studio Session | Okotoks Family Photographer
I remember when Brian the Lion was a staple at our house. He was a small bear stuffie with a rattle inside and he came EVERYWHERE with us. We had bought him early on in my pregnancy so we feared losing him….how would we ever find a replacement? We never did lose him, but he did, eventually, get tucked away in a special memory box. His fur worn thin from so much love. I know so many families have attachment to special items like Brian the Lion and I would love to document that special bond for you. Introducing The Lovies Sessions!! New to the studio this year. Weekday mini sessions designed to document your child when they are at that age where they don’t go anywhere without their favourite toy or blanket.
To celebrate the launch of this new session offering. On Sunday, March 7th, I am opening a limited number of these sessions. They are $295(+gst). That includes a 30 minute session with up to 3 children from the same household and the complete set of digital images. Plus, you will have access to my brand new online store with a line up of amazing professional products. Contact me now to grab your preferred time slot.
Twin Sisters from the Class of 2020 | Calgary Graduation Photographer
Last year, with the COVID restrictions affecting every graduation celebration, I saw many families looking to find a way to enjoy the event. This family had twins who were set to graduate from high school in Okotoks. So, we did a twin session. This session gave them a chance to wear their gowns, but it also gave them a chance to wear their everyday clothes for some more casual portraits together too.
I know that for most Calgary and area graduates this year, your celebrations will look a bit different yet again. I would love to talk to you about what portraits could look like for your child(and your family). I have a variety of options available. One really nice thing about this year is that you don’t have to rush to try and fit everything into one day. I know that most families here try to do that, but this is the perfect excuse to slow down celebrations and make them less rushed/stressful for everyone. If you have a grad in your life that you would like to celebrate, I’d love to chat with you about what that could look like.
And—in case you missed it—I’m currently giving away a full graduation portrait session(a $750+gst value). Nominate a special graduate in your life by going here(nominations close on Feb. 12th at midnight):
