Balls In The Air
From this morning...I said their sneak peek would be later on in the week. I said it would be the one with the sheep(ha--true story, there were sheep). But when I was uploading the images and I saw these ones, I had to do it. It's true that this is from a 'newborn' session. Clearly, not the baby :) Not anymore at least...he is just the definition of two year old joy in these.
I don't think I ever did blog their whole session from last year, but I'm pretty sure that at least one image is in my 'family' portfolio. Love visiting families over and over again...watching them grow :) One of the best things about my job for sure.
I feel like there should be more fall leaves in the images on my blog...I'm sure there will be one day :)
Only a handful of sessions left in October. Just saying...

Quarry Lake
Sometimes life just doesn't roll along like you planned...this was one of those sessions. There were nosebleeds and cranky siblings who wanted to swim. A baby that needed to be fed and diapers that had to be changed. Somehow though, in between the bits of chaos, there were beautiful moments. Life is like that. Sometimes it just takes an outsider to see them for you...
Beautiful light, beautiful family...what a glorious fall we are having.

If They Were A Rock Band...
...this would be their album cover. Should they do it in colour or black and white? hmmmm...what do you think?
From this weekend in Bragg Creek...

Tall Swings in Tall Trees
I met this mom in line for grade 10 registration. I was there with a friend...she was there with her older brother(and his girlfriend). Anyone who knows her now would be surprised to learn that she was super duper shy...so her brother asked us to be her friend. She hates that story. But, it's the truth...We became good friends. In fact, my something borrowed at my wedding was the tiara she wore at her wedding.
She lives out in Vancouver with her incredibly funny family. We had lost touch over the years...not in a never ever talk, but in a only talk once a year kind of way. Well...when we were out on the west coast, we had the opportunity to spend lots of time with them. I did a family session for them. Then, we ate sushi...
My friend also made the skirt her little girl is wearing. She also made the dress Georgia wore on her first day of school. She also made her outfit for grade 12 grad. Just saying...she's THAT kind of talented. Check out her website.
We swam the previous night in Horseshoe Bay...
Been wanting to share this session for awhile...love the swing, love the dad being so goofy, love the last image on the trampoline, love the image of mom on the stairs looking down on her kiddos playing their instruments...and LOVE the kid artwork on the wall behind the couch. Love them.
