Friday's Favourites -- The Fault In Our Stars

The_Fault_in_Our_Stars In the periphery of my life, I heard the hype about this book/movie. I knew that I couldn't see the movie with other people because I am pretty familiar with myself and I know that I would be a huge sobbing mess. So, I opted for the book. I read it in 2 hours. I am not joking. 2 hours. I read it through huge heaving sobs for about an hour. I don't think I have ever cried so much in a book. I will hold off on seeing the movie for a bit...even though, I am seriously chomping at the bit to see it. I adored the book. In part, because it was so raw and honest.

The soundtrack is pretty darn awesome. Birdy does two songs on it. I have loved her since I heard her version of Skinny Love many moons ago. So, here are the links to the two songs. So perfect for this story.

Twins -- Calgary Family Photographer

These two were the first newborn twins I ever photographed. True story. They are turning 7 years old on July 1st...also, a true story.

We recently hung out with the deer and their parents(who used to be our neighbours...and, who are celebrating their 10th anniversary this fall).

Calgary Maternity and Newborn Photographer

I think that there is a baby boom in Calgary!! Since I haven't shared a full session in awhile, I thought I'd share a recent favourite maternity session. This is a family who I have been privileged to photograph before, but I have also got to know through my photography classes for parents. I am so excited to be able to document this time in their life. For those that don't know, I have special maternity and newborn packages that include a smaller session for belly pictures. I'd love to create some photographs like this for you and your family.
