Rocky Mountain Engagement Session

I love it when clients are up for making an extra effort to do something awesome!! We drove out to Kananaskis and explored the beautiful Upper Lakes area. We were super lucky because it can be REALLY windy there, but it was a super calm and beautiful day(even though the forecast called for snow). 

They also brought along a Hudson's Bay Blanket--which her parents received as a wedding gift back in the day. It has long been on my wish list. That and a Pendleton blanket. Happy to have it to play with at a session.

A Boy and His Blanket

Look at me blogging two days in a row!! Woo hoo!!!

This was the first time I met this family. We had fun on what was supposed to be a late summer afternoon but turned into my first session of the fall!! I couldn't believe how yellow the leaves were in Edworthy Park. You really should scroll and look at the photos to find my favourite outtakes. I always show the best outtakes in a gallery because--if it were me--I'd print these two side by side and hang them up somewhere in my house ;) 

Getting a Puppy

I've decided I should blog something. ha...this year has been so busy with both work and my family life that something had to give and my blog posts ended up being that thing.

This family won my contest that I had back in June and they chose to have their session to celebrate the arrival of their newest family member(a gorgeous puppy). We played in the backyard and then went for a walk. The puppy tired out quite quickly and had to be carried like a baby. So sweet. This is my favourite kind of session...a little bit of home and a little bit of the neighbourhood. Enjoy!
