Registration for Mother's Day Event
This is my mom with 2 of her 4 grandchildren. It was taken last year, in my studio, on Mother's day. This year on Mother's day(Sunday, May 8th), I am holding my 3rd Annual Celebrating Mother's Event for mothers and grandmothers to get these precious photographs with their children and grandchildren. It is one of my favourite events of the year. This year, I am excited to say that each mother(or grandmother) will receive an incredible swag bag filled with some of my favourite things to find locally(I can't wait to show you what I have lined up).
These sessions are short and sweet--15 minutes in length. As I mentioned, they will be in my studio(which is in my home in Okotoks, AB). The goal is to capture a minimum of 10 photographs for you to cherish. The session is priced like this:
Session fee: $100(+gst) **this is just for Dana's time and talent on the day of the session and does not include any prints, products, or digital files. Those are sold separately.
Individual digital files are sold for $150(+gst)
The entire gallery of digital files will be available for $500(+gst).
Printed products also available for purchase. Prints start at $50(+gst).

Celebrating Mother's 2016 | Okotoks Family Photographer
Registration for my popular Mother's Day Event will be this Monday, March 7th. Early registration will be available to my newsletter subscribers starting at 9:00am. The remaining spots will be opened to the public starting at 12:00pm.

Champagne, Photography and Best Friends
You know what? I am really lucky to have so many great girlfriends in my life. A great group of friends who you grow with over the years and are able to share life experiences with--marriage, babies, kids, teenagers. Who you can let long stretches of time creep by, but the moment you see each other again, it's like no time has passed at all. Who you know would just drop everything to come and see you in your time of need(or simply because WINE....that, too). Well, I wanted to find a way to celebrate those friendships and I decided that I would start to offer a night of champagne, photography and besties.
So, got an event that you and your girls want to celebrate? Bridal shower? Baby Shower? Birthday? Just because? How about that mom's group looking for a way to just spend an afternoon or an evening without the kids? Well, here's your chance.
CHAMPAGNE AND SHUTTER SPEED
$99(+gst)/per person
It includes champagne, snacks, and your choice of one of three photography courses:
- THE FULL MEAL DEAL: Get your camera off of auto and on to manual. For those of you who all have dSLR's and no idea how to work them. Dana will show you the basics of exposure to get you started documenting your own family in a creative way.
- THE HAPPY MEAL: Improve your composition and hear all about Dana's tips for documenting your own life no matter what camera you are using.
- THE BUFFET: Designed for intermediate photographers who just want to pick Dana's brain on all things photography related.
Dana can host it in her lovely studio in Okotoks, AB or one of you can host it in your home(as long as you are in the Calgary area). These are available on a very limited basis, but Dana would love to hear from you to see if she could help you celebrate with your girlfriends.
**A minimum of 8 people and maximum of 12 women can be present. The event will be approximately 2 hours long.
Ice Cave in Jasper National Park
We ventured out to the Athabasca Glacier to see the Ice Cave recently for fear that it would not last the summer this year. So glad we did. It was such a sight to see.
